Dr. Andrzej Więckowski
Andrzej Wieckowski received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electronics at the Warsaw University of Technology in 1970 and 1980, respectively. Since 1981 he has been Assistant Professor at the Institute of Radioelectronics. His research comprises microwave circuits and elements, measurements of semiconductor devices and computer aided analysis of networks, leading to some thirty publications (including journal papers in e.g. Electronics Letters) and three patents. In 1991 and 1993 he worked on projects for Forschungsgesllschaft Fur Informationstechnik GmbH in Bad Salzdetfurth, Germany, developing software for characterisation of antenna patterns. As an academic lecturer and M.Sc. supervisor, he conducts classes on computer science, programming techniques, microwave techniques, electromagnetic field theory, and antennas. He is also an experienced system analyst, skilled in computer graphics and image processing, where his activities go back to the pioneer years (cooperation with TV: subtitling).
